Diwali, is better known as the festival of lights, is celebrated to mark the win of good over evil. We celebrate Diwali by decorating our home, setting out clay oil lamps, enjoying fireworks, having special food with family, giving surprises to each other and playing indoor games.
While we are planning and making our day special with our family and friends, there are few people for whom Diwali is no different from other days. They will get up, be ready and go to their service.
1. Autorickshaw/Bus Driver
They might ask you to pay extra other than the meter. But, it’s not their fault, they are serving you on a day when you avoid work, itna to banta hai boss.
2. Shop Owners
You might find Pharmacy, Grocery Shops open on the day of Diwali, just in case of emergency.
3. Domestic Helper
They help you to keep your house clean and a little extra during Diwali. Although, some of them take holidays. But, those who come on the day of Diwali should have a treat.
4. Movie Theatre Crew
We all have plans to see a movie during this long break of Diwali. We might find that ticket rates are higher too, but you should say thank you and wish them Happy Diwali, just because they are ruining their fun life for yours.
5. Doctors/Hospital Staff
They may or may not be at their workplace, but just in case or with just one call they will be at your service.
6. Police/Traffic Cops
Well, they are working every day, whole year and Diwali is no special day for them. Rather than being with their kids they work hard on the day of Diwali for your security.
7. Restaurant staff
Many of us plan to go out for dinner. We’ll enjoy the delicious food cooked by the chef and served by the waiter of the restaurant, who are missing out on their Diwali celebrations so that we can feel special.
8. Flight Crew
Most of us who live away from home might have packed our bags till now, booked our tickets and just watching the dreams to be at home relaxing. Well, don’t forget to thank those flight crew members as they didn’t made any plans this Diwali so that you can be at home with your family.
We will be welcoming to the guest and friends in our homes, while the security of your society will keep a vigil eye over our safety.
