I guess is should never required to have a special day to celebrate the Womanhood. We should always thank and celebrate the womanhood without the concern of who they are, many times just being nice to them is enough as respect. But, it is the society that forgot the Importance of Respecting Women that is one reason for this day to celebrate. On this day, I have tried to enlist the Bollywood Movies that told the story of the Woman and the need and fight of the Women to have a respectable place in the society.
1. Chak De India
The Movie portraying the making of Indian Hockey Women Team as Champions is no less than the rage. The fight they put to make themselves heard in the Indian society and The Fight the faced in their Personal life, is kind of fact that we Indians unknowingly do, just because it is in our nature.
The socio-drama movie that deals with the Widow Taboo in the Indian Society. Though, the movie is just the discussion between Gulpanag and Ayesha Takia. Gave a food for thought of many Modern Indian Lifestyle Ambassadors.
The story of a middle-class girl, who’s marriage was cancelled at the last moment due to the reason that the guy and his parents thought that the girl is not modern enough to live with them. Kangna as Rani, gave a beautiful example to the India Society that one doesn’t need to be dependent to explore the world.
4. Gulaab Gang
The movie is inspired by “The Gulaab Gang” members are activists and vigilantes in Bundelkhand Uttar and Madhya Pradesh who decided to take actions against the issues like domestic violence, the dowry system, rape, electricity matters, and education.
5. Jai Ganga Jal
The movie is centred around te first Woman SP of the district and her actions against the criminals who are also the leaders of the District.
6. English Vinglish
The story of a normal Indian housewife, who forgets how to live of herself after spending many years for just working for her family. Although, She realized the importance of self-respect and self-improvement with time.
The biopic of Neerja Bhanot, who saved the lives of 359 passengers from the terrorist during the Pan AM Fight Highjack. She is known as the Highjack Queen.
The movie touched the sensitive and most crucial issue of human trafficking especially women. Rani played a really strong character.
9. Mary Kom
The biopic of the First Indian Wrestling Women champion Mary Kom, who is an inspiration of whole India.
