He led Indian Blind Cricket Team in 2012 for the World title, when the Indian team defeated England in the first ever T20 Blind World tournament at Bangalore.
Sudha Chandran – Indian Actress And Bharatanatyam Dancer.
Born In Kerala, she lost her leg in an accident at the age of 16. She overcame this disability with prosthetic ‘Jaipur Foot’ and have won special jury award at National Film Awards at the movie Mayuri, loosely made on her life.
H Ramakrishnan – Popular Journalist And Classical Singer.
Affected by Polio at the age of 2.5 years, H Ramakrishnan have fought to get everything he can in life. A popular News Caster, Carnatic Vocalist and Konakkol Singer, carries a 40 years of experience as Journalist.
Ravindra Jain – Music Composer And Lyricist.
One of the famous personality of Indian Music Industry, was a blind since birth. Won best music director award in 1985 Filmfare Award. We lost this gem in 2015.
Girish Sharma – Badminton Champion Have One Leg.
A disabled badminton champion, is a living legend who is proving that you can achieve your dreams. Lost his leg in a train accident at the age of 2 he never let his disablity come his way of success.
Arunima Sinha – A Mountaineer Has One Limb.
She is the only female amputee till now to climb Mt. Everest. She has the aim to climb all the highest peaks of all the continents, she is done with five mountain peaks. She lost her one limb in accident in 2011, when few thieves thrown her from a running train.
Rajinder Singh Rahelu – Paralympic Powerlifter.
An Arjuna award recipient, represented India at 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. He won bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in the 56 kg Category.
Malathi Krishnamurthy Holla – A Disabled Athlete.
She has won over 400 medals for India. Her body got paralysed due to Polio and she went under 30 surgeries for broken bones and legs. She has bagged 389 golds, 27 silvers and 5 bronzes at National and International Competitions.
Sai Prasad Vishwanathan – Disabled Skydiver.
India’s first disabled skydiver with a record of skydiving from 14,000 ft. He a risk consultant with Deloitte U.S. in India. He has mention in Limca Book Of Records for his Skydiving record. He co-founded Sahasra, for disadvantaged students so they can pursue higher education.
Harry Boniface Prabhu – Quadriplegic wheelchair tennis player.
The Padma Shree award recipient in 2014, he is a medal winner at 1998 world championship.
