The word ‘Hysteria’ is perceived by many in a negative light. But it is not that scary and you do not need to assume before deciding this is going to happen. Now you must be wondering this happens only in fairytale world or movies but no it can happen to any common man. Mass hysteria is nothing but collective hysteria, group hysteria refers to collective delusions of threats to society that spread rapidly through rumors and fear.
Often we wonder of things like free something which entices our mind and we start making all sorts of calculations.
The Big Bazaar Mela which happens at the time of festivities often tends bring in such type of collective mass which buys the same products at a reasonable prices. Colleges in Pune have started this new trend of celebrating days. One such day is group hysteria day whereby all your group members need to wear same. Believe me that is one hell of sight witnessing all in same attire. This kind of bizarreness will make any one laugh.
Cats also succumbed to this hysteria phenomenon. This incident took place in France where one nun meowed and others followed suit. These went on for few days until the residents took some action. The cat meowing would have been cute for some days but after few days it becomes irritating.
Open happiness is the caption of Coco Cola. But in 1999 in Rome Disaster stuck when phenol was mixed and many youngsters drank and fell sick. Some serious action was taken and Coco cola team had to shell out some compensation money.
There are always two sides of a coin and one cannot always be deprived of the fun element the other side possesses. There was this wonderful incident occurred in American flight which was travelling to Germany and that was the time when Christmas was just round the corner. There was buzz/rumor that those booking tickets to this flight will get some lovely gift in return. Excited a few booked and spread the news to people. It was mass hysteria of sorts, but some did not book and those were laughing at them those who choose to book. The flight reached its desired destination and a fat man dressed in Santa Claus attire came and gave each one a sleek tablet which was worth around 50000 rupees.
The joy those passengers encountered was out of the world. The rumor which was spread of gift was lapped by those lucky few. Indeed happy endings do happen in real world you need to be optimist of few things. Grab them when it comes be child at all times no one cares what others think.
If you have got something nice stuff to share say it. Spread the news let others have the piece of cake. Remember one thing how much ever you give in return you will get double. Happy is good but being happy is more difficult.
