Inspiration sometimes we find in a person who is as ordinary as us. This is one such story. There was this beautiful girl named Anita who was suffering from heart disease. She was only 17. She used to be more in hospitals than home. During one such visit in hospital her mom had brought tempting Chocó lava cake on her birthday and that time her condition was a bit better as the docs said.
In that boring hospital bed and tired from day and night ghas pus khana, she was happy to see the cake as if that was her life. Days passed by and she found out how she can conquer this heart problem without not being put in that dreaded hospital. Tensed Anita went to a Joggers’ Park to breathe some fresh air. What she saw was a muscular man taking long strides to keep himself fit. Anita took a cue from him.
That moment she decided enough is enough and the new chapter unfolded wherein the visit to hospital was not too often. She kept running for few hours a day. That chance visit to Joggers Park was the turning point she needed and now Anita’s problem is gone.
Often we see people going for long walks at mornings to get some fresh air or rejuvenate themselves. But seldom is the sight that someone is running in the morning to setting his day up. Running has become more essential in this stress related and work pressure environment which we encounter daily. In lots of websites and newspapers we read how we should go for spa or take a holiday for unwinding the over stressed mind. Those come with an exorbitant price. But have you come across often any websites or person giving tips on how running makes us gives that energy and stamina. Hardly a few times you must have encountered such a person who is passionate about running.
The recent survey of a leading cardiovascular hospital in Pune states that by 2020, 80 percent people are going to die of heart disease. Enough to send shivers down. Health is wealth is an old cliché which is always kept banging everywhere right from ads to people. But only few follow. We do not know about 2020 but the present day scenario demands at least to run for some 10 to 15 minutes so that worries are gone regarding health. We Indians are a funny lot we are experts of doing things the last minute. But regarding this also if we are laidback then the possibility of enjoying life post retirement with a glass of beer seems a distinct dream.
Nobody is going to check if you are Usian bolt but they will definitely notice the young glow in your face and will ask what the secret is. And the answer will make that person run.
