Before starting off sharing and listening the songs, let me point out, we had a childhood with the TV and Radio altogether. Now, don’t tell me that I am wrong, because I am not. You know, it was the start of 90s when Indian television got so many channels. It was then in 1993 when Indian Television was started shaping to the way it is today. Or I should say, it was preferences of our and our parents that we are watching today.
We the kids born in 90s, have seen the most experimental serial, some were really good and few were really hard shallow. But, still we all have seen almost all of them just because it was on television. So, going down to memory lane, I have curated some of the Iconic music score of that time which will take you to the nostalgic trip of old times.
Dekh Bhai Dekh – Starting track
Is rang badalti duniya mein kya tera hain kya mera hai, was one of the realistic song anyone can hear on television. The fun song, with a life teaching was something that always made us humm the song whenever we hear it.
Just Mohabbat – Title track
This was one of the most lively song of that time, with one the best visual, that will give you a smile on the face. The lyrics literally managed to portray how to deal with life and its bang on!
Mahabharat – Bharat Ki Hai Kahani
Although, a bit old-fashioned music score, but equally a legendary one. This track is one of the most catchy starting music that use to give chills at that time.
Jungle Book – Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai
The peppy track that grabbed our ears with the line “Chaddi Pehen Ke Phool Khila Hai!”, is in our minds from decades now. The hindi track of the Jungle Book Cartoon Was Hilariously Epic And We can’t forget it at any age.
This patriotic song that has been sung by many well-known acclaimed artists, Vande Mataram use to telecasted every sunday when India was newly introduced with Television as a lifestyle product.
Mile Sur Mera Tumhara
The song that featured the unity and diversity of different culture, language and states of India. The song showcased the top classical artists of India.
Hum Paanch – Title track
The title track was one of the epic and had a great pace of music. The lyrics were one of the best thing that any comedy serial must have. The introduction of every kid of Anand Mathur was bang on!
Alif Laila – Title Track
The music of Alif Laila, was inspired by the Arabic Music that seriously gave use the feel that we up for some Arabian mythic audio-visual treat and the daily soap had a successful run on Indian Television.
Malgudi days – tanana tana
That popular track of Malgudi Days was very hummable. Though, we hardly remember whether there were lyrics in the track or not, but we can anytime understand the track with the signature tone “tana na tana na na”
Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki – Rishton Ki Pooja Jaha Ho
It is a childhood horror, that we have spent 1 hour each weekday watching those Saas Bahu, serials that we didn’t even understood sometimes. But, thanks to our parents and big ode to that creepy director Ekta Kapoor for ruining our time with those. But, You can’t deny that their tracks have ruled our drawing room for almost 7-8 years.
Hip Hip Hurray – Title Track
The song was one of the most Enthusiastic song of that time. That use to give us the life goals of making most fun out of our school life and youth that was way far at that time and now we can just recall that time when we use to plan about our life.
Ramaya – Title Track
Now, this was one of the best composition for a mythological serial. Rama anand Sagar who was considered as one of the best director for any challenging Audio Visual, has always managed to capture the mind of the viewer or listener with his choice.
