Black-and-white pictures always manage to hit the string of amusement that what would be the people or objects look in a colourful image. An Artist Marina Amaral who took the job of colouring the history which is giving a new perspective to the pictures that are captured in monochrome.
Using photoshop she started coloring the pictures, Marina reproduced alot of iconic monochromic historic pictures to give them a new life. One of these picture dates back to 1914 – during World War I – which has a young French boy greeting Indian soldiers in Marseilles. Check out her work:

After sharing the photograph and getting alot of reponses from people. She responded one of the Redditors by writing this:
“I do a lot of research and I try to respect all the historical details. There’s no way for me to know for sure what’s the hat color because it’s not part of the military uniform, so I chose it using my educated guess – I wanted to use a color that stands out in comparison with the blue of their uniforms, then red seemed to be a nice color.”
